We are very proud to be able to state that our staff have completed advanced level TPP (Trauma Perceptive Practice) training. TPP is the Essex approach to understanding behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeing in children and young people.
TPP lead for the school is Mrs Regan who is also trained in delivering TPP for families to offer support to parents as well. If you would like any additional information or would like support, please contact the school office to meet with Mrs Regan.
TPP's key elements include understanding
Values: Centered on compsassion, kindness and a connection to build resilience.
Behavior as Communication: Shifts focus from labeling and punishing to understanding the underlying stress and distress causing the behavior
Relationships First: Prioritizes safe, trusted relationships between children and adults to support emotional wellbeing.
Not a "Soft" Approach: While compassionate, TPP still emphasizes the importance of boundaries, consequences, and repairing relationships.
Whole-School Implementation: Uses a train-the-trainer model to embed these practices across educational settings.
